2015 Year in Review

Tinker AFB Homes thanks our residents for another great year!
2015 has truly been an eventful year for Tinker AFB Homes. While Resident Specialists were busy signing leases and welcoming new residents to our community, LifeWorks Coordinators planned innovative and engaging events, and Maintenance Technicians kept homes in tip-top shape. It’s been a great year, and we’d like to take the time to thank the community at Tinker AFB Homes for their ongoing support and recap some of this year’s highlights.

This year, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation provided 53 academic scholarships to children of active-duty military members residing at BBC-managed properties. One scholarship winner resided here at Tinker AFB Homes.

Tinker AFB Homes also received four CEL awards, for the Vandenberg Hills, Mitchell Heights, Prairie Land and Twining Fields neighborhoods – recognizing excellence in customer feedback.
In addition, Tinker AFB Homes received the AFMC Privatized Housing of the Year Award, with our Tinker AFB housing military partners.

This year we had many community updates including:
- We welcomed 264 new residents to Tinker AFB Homes!
- Our team installed internal and external directional signage throughout the community.

We also welcomed Zachary Farmer to the team and congratulated Julie Sossamon with a well-deserved promotion. Be sure to stop by the Community Management Office and say hello!

Our LifeWorks program strives to strengthen community relationships by providing events for residents of all ages to engage in a variety of social and learning activities. Programs are held throughout the year and are free for our residents. In 2015, Tinker AFB Homes hosted more than 93 events with 8,409 residents in attendance.

A few of the memorable events from 2015 include:
- National Fire Prevention
- Summer Bash
- Pumpkin Patch

An enhanced PCS rewards program has been rolled out across all military properties managed by Balfour Beatty Communities and we welcome all PCSing residents to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are a current resident and choose to live with another BBC-managed community, our staff will assist you with a streamlined transfer and you can receive a $100 reward!

In 2015, we also entered into a partnership with other military housing agencies to make PCS moves easier. No matter the installation, we can refer you to your new housing management office – whether a Balfour Beatty Communities, Winn, United or Corvias community. More information will be provided during the move-out process.

At Tinker AFB Homes, we are committed to providing high quality homes in welcoming, safe communities so that residents have a positive experience living with us.
